A broken promise?

I promised to myself to write more in this blog. And I thought I would be able to do so. However it seems that I still unable to adjust to my new routine, mostly in adjusting my schedule with the added responsibilities that I have to carry since Sunday starts his new school term. But i am not giving up as yet.

I came across this article and feel that I still have chance to keep my promise. It is interesting to note that we can set our goals/resolutions on any days. Not necessarily on the first day of the year. What a great relief! Enjoy this piece;

I'm Back!

After more than two years abandoning this blog, I decided to make a comeback. You can call it a new year resolution. Apart from reading, writing is also my passion. It is therapeutic! And that's why I opt to write more this year. Wish me luck!

A lot of things happened to me during the interval. I am now a homemaker. Yeah! Becoming a stay-at-home mum is actually my dream. The feeling of achieving a dream is beyond words. I am so thankful to the Almighty for this opportunity. In addition we welcomed a new family member in 2013. A gorgeous Tuesday. You can imagine how busy I am with the 'three musketeers'. LOL.

Sunday will start his primary school next week. Can't wait to see him in the school uniform. He is a big brother now. But still unable to part with his mischief behavior, which leave me annoyed or angry at times. Perhaps he will become more independent and mature as he grow up.

On the other hand, Monday is always my darling. He is easier to handle as compared to Sunday. He fits perfectly as a second child. Definitely he is not a terrible-two but a terrific-two!  Indeed their antics add more colours to my life.

I am signing off for now. Take care.

Going Separate Ways...

I'm bound to travel abroad tomorrow. Hubby is going for outstation work. Sunday and Monday will be sent to their nanny's home. Luckily it is school holiday so that their beloved Aunt will be there to take care of them.

Worst is Monday is having bronchitis now and since few days later he condition is not so good. It is not a good time for me to be afar from him but because of work committment, i've to leave him. Don't judge me OK. If I have choice, my kids is my top priority. But since the event that I'm attending is planned months ago I have no choice. Being the mastermind of the event, I've to go. Thanks to my family for their helps - really appreciate their support and understanding.

My body will be there but my heart and soul is always with my lil angels. I turn to Allah the Almighty for giving me courage, patience and strong spirit. Hope my lil efforts is considered as good deeds and be rewarded.

Plumber in da House!

Clock is ticking so fast now. Last two months Monday turns one and he barely can walk. But now he can already run! What a progress!

Recently I notice that Monday always tried to climb our tv rack. One day he put a small chair (Sunday's chair) and tried to touch the tv set. I'm so worried that the tv would fall and hit him. This case happened few years back in our city. Since our tv is flat-screen I am even worrier. It is very slim and light and therefore very easy to fall down. My Hubby and I decided to hang the tv on the wall so that our kids can't touch the tv. He managed to get the tv holder for RM100 and the shop-owner said they will charge another RM100 for fixing the holder. So my hubby decided to do himself.

Coincidentally, our sink was clogged and we called our regular plumber. My hubby then asked the plumber can he help us fix the tv holder on the wall? He said can and he only charged RM20 for that!

The plumber 'in action'
I was so lucky because Monday was sleeping at that time, otherwise I'm sure he'll also busy 'helping' the plumber...:)

Bookworm in the Making

Last week I brought Monday to a book store. I'm so excited to see he has strong passion for books and I hope this passion will become his habit when he grow up. We entered the book store and I let him go anywhere he wants in the book store. He  confidently walked from shelve to shelve to 'choose' the books. He took a book and placed it in the other shelve then get another book and did the same thing few times.  When he saw the books that we chose in the basket, he even put a book there. So sweet dear!

Monday loves books!
He may not be able to read now but I hope the exposure that we gave him will make him love reading.

Gift from Nature

My husband and I took a day off to go back to our hometown few days ago. It is better know as 'balik kampung' in Malay terminology. Though Wikepedia says that it is meant for festival season, actually it is beyond that. The term can be used for leaving the city/work and going back to our hometown for marriage festival, visit the sick relative or just simply visiting our parents. It can be many purposes for balik kampung but the most famous is balik kampung for celebrating festival (Aidil Fitri, CNY etc).

I was so grateful that my mom's home is still blanketed by greenery plants and the air there still fresh. At night, you have to sleep with stoking otherwise it'll be very cold and you couldn't sleep well.

I took my time to explore what's in mom's garden and so happy to see that a lot of plants like lemon grass, chillies, brinjals etc grow healthily. They need not to be taken care of but they grow abundantly in mom's backyard. For village (kampung) folks, if they have any seeds from the kitchen, they usually throw it away to their backyard, then the seeds will grow as a plant.

Since those things (herbs) are very much used in Malay kitchen, I took the opportunity to stock up my kitchen.

Kids Train Ride

Some time ago we sent our parents to a train station. We brought the kids into the train and Sunday was so happy and pleaded to follow them. We promised to bring him next time.

So, this weekend we fulfilled our promise and brought him and Monday for a train ride. It was just a simple thing we did but we were very happy to see that both of them enjoyed the ride. At first Sunday was quite nervous, he hold my hand so tight. Slowly he managed to overcome his fear. But Monday was more relaxed.

Sunday enjoying the scenic view of KL
We stopped and the last station of the LRT and took few moments to shop there. The picture below is so lovely and it means a lot to me.
Monday selecting a magazine for himself...:)
